Photoshoot #10 "Fashion As Art"
Hi, i want my top spot back.
Why This Photo?
Alright, so this week we have to come with a photo of "fashion as art". The first season we had this theme, i was hated. Like really hated, i just knew i wouldn't make the finals because of that lol. But that is past. Anyways let's start with the fashion value in this photo. As you can obviously see this is fashion because of all the things i use and wear. I basically manage to sell like seven things in this photo as an ad or a fashion shot, they are the shirt, bag, nail polish, lipstick, makeup, hair bow and hairspray. And i thought this is artistic because of the pose that you dont see a lot of time and how the shadow of my hand makes some kind of an eye make-up in my face. Also to have three different colored bags in a hand which is pretty hard to carry for a petite girl such as myself (lol) and the artistic creepy cartoon face in my shirt. This can be artistic too because of how all these full of variety colors in the photo sort of blend together very well.

Amanda: This strikes me as a very over-the-top Picasso-style form of art. That's not my favorite kind of art, but it still is art. The art vibe really is huge here, but there's one thing I note: I'm not drawn to anything. My eyes are shooting in all different directions because of how overwhelming this is. It's almost like you're trying to do too much here, which takes the spotlight off of YOU. Your pose may have something to do with it, and how your fingers shadow your eyes may make your face less of a focal point. Now that value is artistic, and I do like that little detail, but I don't absolutely love this photo. I do like it, even if it's not my style, but I don't love it because it doesn't have the thing that just sucks me in. It's too spread out, and although very artistic, that issue is glaring. Despite that, I'm sure you'll be safe, so worry not

Hayley: I love this photo. I'm so happy to see you post it cause for me, you've been trailing off lately and I was worried that you had run out of steam. It's good to see you back with this. My favorite part about this photo is probably your pose. It really helps to draw attention to your face. And then, I love the makeup job on your face and little red ribbon on top. So much to like here. Welcome back to the competition

Natalie: Kirsten, I was pretty blown away by this. I remember being the one who bitched you out in Cycle 8 for this shoot, but this time it's totally the other way around. I think YOU are very artsy here, and it's not so reliant on the setting. I think your outfit, the accessories and the pose all work together to create something that truly is "fashion as art." Great job this week!!!
