Hello Girls!!! Welcome to Acapulco, Mexico.
This week you need to portray a supermodel during their Summer Vacation at Acapulco and here are the photos for this week.
Adele: I'm a big fan of vintage swimsuit. And the swimsuit compliment your body really well. I love the body language. Very flirty and sexy. Nice setting too. My only issue in this photo is your face. I don't feel the connection much from you. Overall great concept and great execution too.
Amanda: I like the idea behind this photo, but am mixed on the execution. Yes, I can definitely see this as being off the coast of Mexico, and the vintage swimsuit is glorious. However, I must take issue with various aspects of your head. Your face is BORED. You're wearing SUNGLASSES. And that thing in your hair is... just get rid of it. You need to pump more energy into this, and show us your eyes! Overall, this is just okay for me because you're not owning it, you're not living it. You're almost there, but not quite. Is it enough to keep you safe? Of course.
Natalie: I do like the antiquated feel of this. It fits the theme very well. I'm not totally bothered by the sunglasses because they're so summery, and I really like your bikini. Good job this week!
Hayley: I get what you were going for with this picture and it works. I do like the throwback to an old-style bathing suit, but it's slightly updated since it's a 2-piece. I like that you took the part about Acapulco being a hotspot for the rich in the 50s and you went with a girl-girl 50s theme. The photo being in black and white also helps it represent that time period. If I have to give one criticism, I would have liked a bit more of an impact from the photo. It's a nice picture and fits the theme perfectly, but from the modeling aspect, could have been a bit more impactful.
Adele: I love the setting. Not so sure with the angle. Your thighs look really huge in this photo. Don't think it's your best feature girl. But I love your face. Unlike Dita, I can feel the connection with you. Overall, good photo. Memorable? Not so sure.
Amanda: This is cute, but like Adele said, it isn't memorable. You don't have as much energy as you could, and you don't exactly look happy to be there. I also don't get a "Mexican resort" vibe here. The setting is great, don't get me wrong, it just isn't the one we are looking for. This looks more like a woodland area than a beach. I do like your clothes, because I can definitely see some Mexican elements there, and I do like your hair. However, your leg is front and center and that's sort of where my eyes are drawn to immediately. I'm going to agree with Adele that it's likely the angle which is making your thighs look enormous, and for someone smaller like yourself, that's not a good thing. I also see that tattoo... and I don't like tattoos. The idea is here, but in the end, this is just good. It isn't anything great. Will you be here to stay? I think so!
Natalie: I think you look cute here, but it's not really memorable. It doesn't fit the theme super well, but I think you connect well with the viewer here. I actually like tattoos, but I wouldn't rank anyone higher because they're showing one, unless it somehow related to the theme. However, in my eyes, it doesn't hurt you here. There's also some definite photoshop or something going on here, though I don't think you did it. Overall, it's a good week for you, but not great.
Hayley: Get ready to hear an echo because I agree that this photo is nice, but not memorable. The connection to the theme is fine. I'm fine with tattoos. Models generally shouldn't have them and Amanda has always had a problem with tattoos, so if you ever have another photo with a tattoo showing, it'd probably be a good idea to try to cover it up if you have the know-how with Photoshop.
Adele: Oh, another legs shower!!! I think Eliza should take notes here. I think you manage to highlight the strength of your best feature here which is your legs. I love the energy. Very lively and sweet. Good setting too. It's believable and real.
Amanda: I like this photo, but don't love it. Your legs are scrumptious and the setting is wonderful and can definitely be justified as coastal Mexico. Your expression is also luminous and strong. It's a striking photo in those departments, but I'm not completely sold on your styling or your hair. I like the sandals, but the shirt is a bit too baggy and doesn't strike me as vacation wear. The shorts do, at least. I'm not asking for a bikini, just something that isn't weighing you down. And your hair, although sophisticated, makes you look a bit older. I'm not sold on it. Still, this is another great week for you, so keep up the good work
Natalie: I'm a fan this week, Kate. I think you improved from last week! I really love the classy, elegant feel of this photo. I think you look like you're enjoying yourself, and your legs are scrumptious. I really can't find much wrong with this- great work
Hayley: When I first saw this picture, I thought it was fine. Looking back at it again with more attention to detail, I actually like it a lot more than I originally did. Before reading your description, I did feel like you were at a resort and your legs definitely do really stand out in this. You look great and the theme fits really well. Definitely a step back in the right direction.
Adele: I love the styling. I think it's the best part of this photo. You look great in this photo but I don't think this photo is memorable enough. But your explanation did make sense. I just think at this point of the competition, you need to give us something that we do not expected from you. Good photo, but not as memorable as your previous body of works.
Amanda: I don't see anything about this that screams "Vive le Mexico!" You're supposed to be going to Acapulco, not... wherever this is. Yeah, the beaches are crowded, so are you going somewhere else? That's my main complaint here. Your styling works, especially the shorts (the closest thing you have to "Mexico" here, but the shirt takes away from that), but it isn't my favorite from you, and although I LOVE your energy here, it isn't enough to suck me in and get me to remember this over some of the amazingness you've delivered so far. Good photo? Yes. Related to the theme? No. Enough to get you through? Yes.
Natalie: I mainly agree with Amanda. The styling is great, and you look really pretty here, but there's little theme connection. I do really like how happy you look- that portrays vacation well. But yeah, if I would've never guessed, from your photo, that the theme is Acapulco. Overall, a decent job this week.
Hayley: I don't really read anything about "Acapulco" in this photo. As a matter of fact, I barely read "summer" in this picture. It boarders on possibly feeling like a "spring" photo instead. I love the pose and your facial expression in this picture. I just wish I felt more of a connection to the theme with it.
Adele: I like this photo, and you look very confident in this photo, but my problem is with the fact that it felt like the photo was cropped. We need to see this on bigger picture. If we get to see the setting more, it would help you a lot, Marion. Too bad because I would rank this photo first. There's so much to capture for this photo.
Amanda: I find this to be rather average, and that's highly likely due to the setting being almost nonexistent. Your styling is impeccable, and your face is breathtaking, but at the same time, you look almost cold, and I just feel like something is out of place. Maybe it is the lack of developed setting. It isn't your best, but it's not awful either. I want to like this more than I do, but it's still sufficient.
Natalie: Not much new to add. Styling/you are great, but the setting is lacking. Work on theme integration, and you'll have had the perfect picture!
Hayley: Is this "Summer in Alaska"? Cause you look like you're freezing. Disregarding the pose, the rest of the photo fits the theme well. I like the outfit and the color of the outfit fits well with the theme. The ocean in the background is an automatic plus in this shoot.
Adele: I like the bikini, but I'm not sure how to relate this to Acapulco. Hmm I'm going to imagine that you're at the pool in one of the hotels or resorts, I guess. Even though, you look at the camera, I didn't feel much connection with your photo. There's something missing about this photo. The good thing is your bikini is gorgeous and your neck look delicious. Yummy!!!
Amanda: That's a... therapy ball you're laying on? This strikes me as you being at some sort of hydrotherapy session as opposed to going on vacation. I really like your face, but it's just pretty, it's not screaming like you're happy to be there. Your hair is glorious, and your bikini... my opinion is going back and forth on it. It's unique and memorable, but it's also awkward. I don't know if I would like wearing that. It looks good, but it's just a bit too different for me... really don't know what to say.
Natalie: I really do like this bikini, you probably win styling award, but everything else is meh at best for me. I really don't get the setting since you're sitting on an exercise ball. You don't really look comfortable, or on vacation for that matter. Not your best week, Monica! You can do better!
Hayley: I do like the bikini; it's something I haven't seen before. The setting could be better, but overall, I like this photo. The styling is nice. I will have to echo Adele in saying that it just feels like something is missing in this photo.
Adele: Finally, Kristen... Wait, where's Kristen? I brought 7 girls to Acapulco.. Where is she?
Marion: I don't see her after our plane was horrendously crashed at the airport like this
Adele: What? Dita, you're a damn Pilot and Captain for the flight. You should take care of your passenger!!!!
Dita: I was too busy trying my new lipstick when our plane was crashed. Sorry!!!
Adele: Wow Dita, Next cycle I'm so not going to let you pilot the flight anymore. I hope no matter where you are Kristen, you're still safe. I already lost Lexie Grey today because of the plane crash, hope I'm not losing you too.
Good Luck
